Ali G does NASCAR

Ali G, lesser known as Sacha Baron Cohen, is crashing into Will Ferrell's NASCAR comedy currently titled Talladega Nights. Cohen will play a French Formula 1 driver Jean Girard who comes to the United States intent on dominating NASCAR.

Ferrell will play Ricky Bobby a NASCAR hotshot and crowd favorite who teams with John C. Reilly's Cal Naughton to form the highly successful duo "Thunder & Lightning." Michael Clarke Duncan and Gary Cole also star in the Sony Pictures movie.

The film is set to begin filming next month with a Summer 2006 targeted release date.
