Louise, an alienated student at a creepy, old Victorian boarding school, begins an adulterous affair with the husband of the school's headmistress.
Suspicion and passion are in the air until the headmistress learns of their extracurricular activities. When the husband goes missing, Louise begins to suspect that she is being framed by the sadistic headmistress for his murder.
