Alexis (Turhan Bey), a mystery man who claims to communicate with spirits, charms a depressed widow and her sister (Lynn Bari and Cathy O'Donnell). He plans to add them to the list of gullible clients he has scammed, but the suave psychic soon learns that the living are far more dangerous than the dead.
