Of Human Bondage

Based on Somerset Maugham's novel, this story follows the sensitive, club-footed Philip who gives up his artistic ambitions to enroll in medical school. At a local cafe, he meets the brash, manipulative, cruel and uneducated Mildred Rogers, and falls passionately in love with her. When Philip proposes, Mildred declines, and berates him for becoming romantically interested in her. This story is considered by many to be the most tragic romance story ever written!
