Sportswriter Mark Miller (Stanley Clements) sent plenty of opponents crashing to the canvas in his former career as a boxer. But now he's in the greatest fight of his life, tangling with gangland heavyweights in a bid to clean up the fight game. Taking on one of the hottest sports-world issues of the '50s, Hot News has everything a fan of hard-boiled B's wants: gambling kingpins, punch-drunk pugilists, good-girl brunettes and good-time blondes in a taut, pared-to-the-bone tale of corruption and its consequences. The cast of familiar faces includes Veda Ann Borg (The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer), Ted de Corsia (The Enforcer), Gloria Henry (Alice Mitchell on TV's Dennis the Menace) and former child star Scotty Beckett.
