A tragic accident leaves acclaimed Broadway director Julian Forbes paralyzed, compelling him to put his planned marriage to young actress Linda Marsh on permanent hold. The couple remain devoted to each other as Linda's stage fame soars and the wheelchair-bound Julian watches adoringly from the wings.
