New York Yankees: Heart of the Order

Few teams in America have dominated their sport as have the New York Yankees. Yankee stars have become part of our heritage and folklore, and New York Yankees: Heart of the Order, showcases the on and off the field lives of four of the greatest Yankees of all time: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle. The only player in baseball history who was chosen to play in the All Star game in every season he played, Joe DiMaggio still-record 56 game hitting streak is one record that may never be broken, and has been memorialized in song including Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson," John Fogerty's "Centerfield," Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire" and Madonna's "Vogue.". Replacing DiMaggio in the Yankee lineup in 1952, Mickey Mantle won 3 American League MVP titles and played on 12 pennant winners and 7 World Championship clubs. He still holds the records for most World Series home runs (18), RBIs (40), runs (42), walks (43), extra-base hits (26), and total bases (123).
