Answer to TriviaThe director of 2004's breakout horror hit Saw was none other than horror ingenue James Wan. The filmmaker was 27 when he made his feature directorial debut with Saw and a horror master was born.
The filmmaker would go on to make several sequels to Saw before creating The Conjuring series of films. It seems that everything the director touches turns to gold as he later made the jump to blockbuster action franchise film when he directed Furious 7, the highest-grossing film in that series.
Not one to rest on his laurels, James Wan most recently directed the DC film Aquaman and produced this week's top film at the box office The Curse of La Llorona. While he wasn't involved with this week's long new film Escape Room, the connections between it and Saw are inevitable.
Escape Room is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
