Answer to Trivia
Veteran character and voice actor Ernie Sabella has been credited in over 100 roles, but he will always simply be known as the voice of the original Pumbaa. Despite recurring roles on Hill Street Blues and Perfect Strangers, it was the voice of a warthog that would put Ernie on the map.
While his name is still far from a household one, you would be hard-pressed to find a more memorable voice from the animated The Lion King. For the live-action remake, Seth Rogen takes over the voice duties for Pumbaa and it has been said that much like his character, his singing voice leaves a lot to be desired.
The only voice actor to reprise his role from the original film is James Earl Jones as the iconic voice behind Mufasa. The live-action The Lion King is now available on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD.
