Answer to Trivia

Released in theaters on February 25, 2005, Tyler Perry's Diary of a Mad Black Woman introduced cinematic audiences to Tyler Perry's cross-dressing matronly figure Madea. Tyler Perry workshopped Madea through several plays over the late 1990s and early 2000s.

After Tyler Perry's Diary of a Mad Black Woman, every other Madea film included her name in the title starting with Madea's Family Reunion. The entire Madea franchise has nine films which includes this week's A Madea Family Funeral.

Tyler Perry has said repeatedly that A Madea Family Funeral will be the character's last film. Of course, time will tell for the very successful series of films.

A Madea Family Funeral is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
