'Hi Ho, Silver Screen!'

Columbia Pictures is about to breathe new life into an extinct franchise. Earlier this week, Columbia picked up the film rights to The Lone Ranger.

The company hopes to weave a new tale for the masked crusader, his faithful horse Silver and life-long companion Tonto. While the early word is that it won't be an exact remake, producers say that it will stay true to the old Westerns.
