He's finally grown up and now Macaulay Culkin gets his first adult role, and what a role it is.

The Home Alone kid will star in 'Party Monster,' a dark comedy telling about the life of Michael Alig, the 1990s party promoter who was convicted of murder. The script is based on the book "Disco Blood Bath," written by a clubbing-friend of Alig, James St. James. Seth Green will play St. James.

Alig became one of the biggest and most powerful names on the club scene in the early nineties, at one time owning his own record label and magazine in addition to everything else. His reign came to an end when he murdered his drug dealer by injecting him with Drano.

Production will finally begin in mid-April in Gotham. The film has been a baby of Killer Filmsfor quite sometime. "When our deal was at MGM, we tried to get them to make it. It was almost like we had to wait for Macaulay to grow up," Killer Films principal Christine Vachon said.
