Mariah Carey To Act Again

While her acting debut in Glitter was a dud, Mariah Carey redeemed herself in critics' eyes with the indie film Wisegirls, which played at Sundance last month. So much so, that she's landed a new role as the lead in Sweet Science.

Carey will play a female boxing coach searching for fame amid obscurity. She sees her ticket fame and stardom in the form of a young, talented female boxer and agrees to train her in the hopes that she'll lead them both to fame and fortune.
