Sho West Gives Ron Howard Top Honors

A Beautiful Mind director Ron Howard has been named the Sho West Director of the Year for 2002. He’ll be honored on March 7th on closing night at the Gala Awards Banquet in Las Vegas.

Ron co-founded Imagine Entertainment with Brian Grazer in 1986 and the two have produced hit after hit like Apollo 13 and How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Mr. Grazer will be presenting his partner with the award.

The chairman of Sunshine Group Worldwide (who organizes the event) has nothing but respect and praise for Ron. “With his magnificent work on A Beautiful Mind, Ron Howard has proven that in addition to being one of the most successful directors working today, he is also one of the most sensitive and talented filmmakers of all time. I can’t think of anyone more deserving of hits honor,” Robert Sunshine said.
