Sunday night when Charlie Sheen accepted his Golden Globe award he ended his speech by dedicating the win to Alan Ruck. A baffled audience wondered.
The 'Spin City' star was hospitalized on December 23rd after developing a strep infection that caused kidney failure, his producers confirmed on Tuesday. The network reported his health is in serious condition at this point but he is expected to make a full recovery after a lengthy rehabilitaion period.
His character on the television sitcom will remain and Alan will return when he is fully up to it, which won't be this season.
Alan was made famous in 1996 as Cameron, the quiet and reserved friend of Ferris, in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
