David Cronenberg is a filmmaker known for his enjoyment of the macabre and the destruction of the human body. His latest movie is no different.

Painkillers, starring Nicolas Cage, is based on the life of French artist Orlan who will appear in the movie as herself. She is known for using her body to create art and has had almost a dozen plastic surgery operations.
