Project Greenlight Gets The Green Light

Golden boys Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are bringing a little "Green" into their lives these days. They, along with Chris Moore, started Project Greenlight, an Internet-based script contest that comes complete with a million dollar budget from Miramax and a reality-behind-the-scenes series for HBO.

After six months and over 7,000 screenplays, the field has been narrowed down to the sole winner. Pete Jones, a 31 year-old aspiring filmmaker who has been serving as a production assistant for various films during the past three years, finally gets his big shot with "Stolen Summer."

Slated to begin preproduction immediately, "Stolen Summer" follows the exploits of a ten year old boy who comes up with a decathalon of sorts to insure that he gets into Heaven.

Now, if only Matt and Ben can come up with a decathalon to replicate their Oscar success...
