Producers and directors of The Mummy Returns decided to make an executive decision and change ancient Egyptian history to save their own face. In the sequel, the Egyptian queen Nefertiti is reincarnated, but the directors were scared the last two syllables of the queen's name would make the movie into a forever running joke.
