Katie Gets A Proposal...But Not From Chris

Dawson's Creek angel Katie Holmes has a steady boyfriend but it wasn't Chris Klein who was ready to propose.

The Gift star found herself on the "stalked star" list after mental patient Michael Willis continually called Martin Holmes (Katie's father) to discuss his engagement to his daughter.

Martin Holmes wasn't the only victim of his harassment. Willis also sent threatening letters to NBC's corporate parent, General Electric, demanding $50,000 because Tom Brokaw was stealing his story ideas.

He pleaded not guilty to the criminal harassment and mischief charges, due to his mental health. Willis was admitted to the Royal Ottawa Hospital while the matter is being resolved.
