The last time we checked in on The Night Before, we were intrigued but were hoping for a bit more to put us over the top. Well, today's red-band trailer for the Seth Rogen film may be just the thing to push us over the edge.

Sure, the film still looks like a glossier version of A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas with prettier stars thanks to Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie, but a few original jokes from today's trailer actually got me to laugh a little. First, as a recent father, I can attest that it's every man's worst nightmare to walk into a strip club only to see your daughter working the pole on the center stage.

Second, there's an extended scene in the obviously Christian church with Rogen wearing his ridiculous Hanukkah sweater with the star of David on it. I won't spoil it, but if you're not laughing hysterically at this scene, then you might want to check your pulse.

All in all, the film is trending up for me and I might risk a viewing because it satisfies the inexplicable need I have to watch every single Christmas film ever made. I know, I need help, but at least this one should make me chuckle a few times.

The Night Before blazes into theaters on November 25.
