'Entourage' reconvenes on the big screen

Through eight seasons, the HBO show Entourage found its niche by presenting the glitz of Hollywood in a way that the average Joe Schmoe could pretend to relate to. What worked for the small screen is going to get a big test with the crew reunites on the big screen for Entourage: The Movie.

This is far from the first small screen to big screen jump, but this one may be unique in that it's probably the first TV series about Hollywood actors that will actually make the jump and become the very thing that it satirized for eight years. For the three of you out there who don't have a clue what I'm talking about Entourage was/is a story of a dude who hits it big and moves out to L.A. with his brother who is also an aspiring actor and a bunch of friends from back home.

The series was produced by and is loosely based on Mark Wahlberg's real life experiences of moving from Boston to L.A. So, it's not surprising that the actor/producer would show up in a nice little cameo. From the looks of it, not much has changed, other than Turtle's significant weight loss which is even joked about in the trailer. The crew is back and the parties look even more off the hook. Ari is still wound up as tight as can be and Vince and his boys are living life large.

There does seem to be some changes in store though as Sloan and E. appear to be expecting a baby together and the casting does seem to hint at a wedding of some sort. This is yet another 2015 film that is flying a bit under the radar, so it's tough to know just how well it will do when it comes out on June 5.
