Something for everyone in three new 2015 trailers

In our last podcast, I quipped, "Tis the season." That season, of course, is trailer season.

With all of the high profile films hitting theaters in the coming weeks, studios are scrambling to get the first looks at their 2015 tentpole pictures in front of as many eyes as possible. We've mentioned before and will continue to do so for the next 10 months or so, but 2015 is very likely to go down as the highest box office grossing year of all time.

The only problem with so many amazing films is that there won't be enough money to go around. For every Avengers: Age of Ulton, there will be a Hot Tub Time Machine 2. Every Star Wars: The Force Awakens is off-set by a Wedding Ringer.

Yin and Yang.

The interesting thing is that right now, they are all full of potential. We just don't know what will pop and what won't. Case in point, Pixar has two films coming out in 2015 and while they are usually sure bets when it comes to box office success, Inside Out was a bit out there and we were worried.

And then we saw this trailer.

Our worries are allayed.

I can't say that we were as impressed with the latest trailer for Hot Tub Time Machine 2, but we do give them points for taking the whole Back to the Future, Part II route.

Losing John Cusack from the cast will hurt them big time. About as much as beating the same joke with a dead horse for the millionth time.

That brings us to Mad Max: Fury Road. We keep forgetting this film is coming out next year despite the trailers being completely bad-ass.

Well, at least we finally know what happened to Bane's mask.
