MEGAPOST: Fan art, parody, and reaction to the new 'Star Wars' trailer

The response and analysis to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer has been like nothing I've ever seen. Released less than a week ago, fans are creating all kinds of art and parody to honor the 88 seconds of film shown to us.
The video on YouTube has been viewed 10 million times. That does not include the Apple site where the trailer was also published. (Apple does not provide video statistics.)
Fan opinion has been almost universally positive but measured. Even Mr. Plinkett, the YouTube star from RedLetterMedia who eviscerated the prequels, liked this one. At least I think he liked it.
Speaking of the prequels and The Maker himself, this George Lucas Special Edition version of the trailer has garnered a lot of attention, and rightfully so. It's by a YouTuber named timtimfed. Of course it pokes fun at the filmmaker's need in later years to pack everything in.
Everything great in Star Wars has to be made even greater by producing it in Lego form. Here's the building block version of the trailer from Snooperking.

Prefer pixels to plastic? Here's a rendition of the trailer done completely in the Skyrim video game. Yeah, it gets a little silly.
You've probably already seen videos of people reacting while watching the trailer. Some are cute but most are pretty much as annoying as you'd imagine. On the other hand, watch Wampa the Kitty react. He was as startled as I was to John Boyega's appearance.
How does the trailer compare aesthetically to the "holy trilogy?" Check out this side-by-side cockpit comparison. (Yes, we can presume the new one is an X-wing while Luke is in a snow speeder.)
Someone noted on Reddit that the maneuver the Millennium Falcon makes is called an Immelmann Turn. I say that's bunk. It's just fancy camera work. Check out this stabilized video of the Falcon's flight.
Taking the time to create a stabilized video shows dedication but not as much as the person who dons ink.
