I have to admit that when I started to see the Kingsman: The Secret Service standees and posters in theaters, I was intrigued. You see, I'm a sucker for a good spy film. There's nothing like a little international espionage to get the old juices flowing.

The upcoming film is based on a comic book (shocker) and boasts a killer (no pun intended) cast that will surely help guide the young stars that will drive this sure-fire franchise in the making. The story is pretty simple. Imagine James Bond taking on a protegé and that pretty much sums up what we see in the trailer below.

Interestingly, the film seems to be full action, gadgets and just the right amount of Samuel L. Jackson to make it an odds-on contender to get the massive 2015 off to a bully start. One part James Bond and one part Leon: The Professional, Kingsman: The Secret Service looks to be one of those rare commodities that will appeal to audiences both young and old. Colin Firth, Michael Caine and the aforementioned Jackson will appeal to the more experienced set, while the younger set led by relative newcomer Taron Egerton will certainly connect with the millennials.

Kingsman: The Secret Service hits theaters on February 13, 2015.
