Let's face it, all it took was the name David Fincher to make sure that you would show up in theaters on October 6 to see Gone Girl, but it doesn't hurt to see some of the little things that made us fall in love with the book. So, if you're like Tyler Perry and have no clue who Fincher is (prior to him taking the role on the film), then the trailers are probably the only thing that will sway you towards going to see the film or not.

It's a good thing that the trailers are doing a pretty good job of piquing interest without giving away all of the juicy nuggets. You know I have thing about crappy trailers, but suffice to say I'm pleased with the way they have chosen to handle this complicated story.

A love story, a tragedy, a whodunnit and a twisted ride of a mystery all wrapped into one, Gone Girl has the potential to not only be a hit with fans of the book, but also film fans who appreciate a tightly wound story. If you saw and enjoyed last year's Prisoners, then I think this film is right up your alley.

The real star of this trailer though is the fleeting glimpse of the marionettes. They are a pivotal MacGuffin in the story and let's just say that they are creepy and will give you nightmares. And that's all that I will say for now.
