TBT: Disney gets all nostalgic in promoting 'Maleficent'

Those three little letters have become a social pheomenon. We held out as long as we could, but I think it's time to finally throw in the towel and embrace TBT.

For the uninitiated (heck, even my mom participates), TBT refers to "Throw Back Thursday" which is a universal social network meme that allows you to post embarassing pictures of yourself from days long past. I don't really understand it myself, but why try and argue with a cultural phenomenon?

Tim has been posting some interesting TBT trivia over on our Facebook page and I thought that I'd take the opportunity here on the site to post some old trailers or set pics and the like from time to time. That is, if you think it will interest you. Let us know what you think down in the comments.

The impetus for the series is a new feature/trailer from Disney for Maleficent. As far as I can tell, it's only available overseas, which is a shame because it uses a nice retro 2D animation effect to connect the old cartoon with the new live-action film.

Also, if you haven't seen the third and final Maleficent, I've included it below. I'm convinced that Angelina Jolie is just going to knock this one out of the park. Maleficent hits theaters in a couple of weeks on May 30.
