Fresh Laughs to be had in new 'Million Ways to Die' red band trailer

If there's one thing that Seth MacFarlane wants to convey to the rest of us, it's that living in the Old West sucked - big time. With his second red band trailer for A Million Ways to Die in the West, he continues to expand his agenda by adding a few new laughs to his first offering.

My colleague Tim thinks that the fresh part is a bit of a stretch as he found too many recycled jokes from the first red band trailer might be a sign that we've already seen all of the best and brightest moments from this film. As someone who has read the book, I can attest that there are some major laughs that are being saved for the film, but the point of a red band trailer is to entertain by crossing the line and perhaps, for better or worse, these are simply the crassiest moments from the film.

I think there are also plenty of visual gags that will be hilarious that didn't make it to the book. For instance, the shadow gag (no pun intended) wasn't in the book and I thought it was the best new thing about this trailer.

I count at least four new scenes in a two minute trailer, which is pretty good for a film coming out in three weeks on May 30.
