'Machete Kills' rocks harder in Spanish

If there's one thing that you can expect from Robert Rodriguez, it's the unconventional. So, I supposed there's really no reason to be surprised that the first trailer for Machete Kills debuts in Spanish.

In fact, after watching the trailer, I really can't imagine it any other way. Oh, I'm sure they will release an English version at some point because we Americans don't like to read subtitles or watch anything in a foreign language.

I'm not really sure why there's such a widespread xenophobia in this country, but sadly there is. Thankfully, the fans of the Machete are probably more tolerant than the general population and will enjoy this trailer.

Since I took French in school, I can't help much in the way of translation, but it doesn't take much to decipher the obvious movie trailer babble. Those tried and true phrases come through loud and clear in any language. Also, the film's dialog is in English, so that helps a bit.

All in all, I applaud the filmmakers for embracing their character's heritage and providing with yet another classic trailer in this franchise. Oh, did I mention Sofia Vergara's machine gun bra? That's in there too. Machete Kills hits theaters on September 13.
