It's the oldest trick in the book. Well, the oldest trick of movie marketing. Provide just enough of a film's story to get you interested and then -- BLAM -- it disappears. The rest waiting for you at the movie theater box office.

Summit Entertainment just released a clip containing the first four minutes of their magical summer film Now You See Me. The clip showcases four tricks performed by the main cast: Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave (don't call me James) Franco, and Isla Fisher. As I mentioned, it's enough to satiate but leave you wanting more -- something all good performers accomplish.

Give it a watch:

Did you pick the same card as she did? Yeah, me too. I think there was some visual effects slight-of-hand going on there.

Here's the official synopsis for this act:

NOW YOU SEE ME pits an elite FBI squad in a game of cat and mouse against "The Four Horsemen", a super-team of the world's greatest illusionists. "The Four Horsemen" pull off a series of daring heists against corrupt business leaders during their performances, showering the stolen profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.

It certainly does look good. My cohort John put it on his list of this year's best movies you don't know about yet. The film's trailer gives you a better idea of the FBI team these magicians are up against. Morgan Freeman is still in Lucius Fox mode.

Now You See Me appears in theaters on May 31.
