'Final Fantasy' Movie DVD To Be Custom Made For PS2

Producers of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within movie have announced that a special DVD specific to Sony PlayStation 2 hardware is in the works. The DVD will contain exclusive, interactive features. One proposed item is the ability to move the camera in certain scenes.

A regular DVD will be released simultaneously with the PS2 special disc. Both are scheduled for a Spring 2002 release.

The computer animated film, to be released in theaters on July 11, owes its origin to role playing game. It then gained further popularity on several video game formats, including PlayStation.
