'Crazy Taxi' Is The Latest Video Game Turned Movie

The rights to a movie based on Sega's top selling Crazy Taxi video game have been awarded to director Richard Donner's production company. Donner will reportedly direct and produce the film and it is targeted for a future summer release.

Games in the 'Crazy Taxi' franchise has sold over 1 million copies worldwide for Sega. It first began as a coin-op game before moving to the home market. In the game, you are the driver of a taxi cab, driving customers to their destinations and avoiding obstacles along the way.

Donner began his career as a director of television series and is best know for his feature films Superman: The Movie and the Lethal Weapon series.
