Back when it was announced that Disney had purchased LucasFilm, there were plenty of guffaws and the expected rumblings about the "Disneyization" of the holy franchise that geeks hold above all others. Eventually, common sense prevailed and we came to accept the deal and pretty much look forward to the new Star Wars films.

Since then, we've gotten news that the "holy trinity" will reprise their roles in Star Wars: Episode VII and that J.J. Abrams will be sitting in the director's chair. Both of these developments were positive and only continued to lull the average fan into a false sense of security that Disney couldn't possibly mess this up.

I mean, they can't, right?

Well, enter YouTuber Sam Macaroni with his vision of every Star Wars fan's worst nightmare. Below is his take on what a Disney version of Star Wars: Episode VII might look like.

Naturally, this video has its tongue planted firmly in its cheek, but it really makes you wonder just what sort of influence the Big Mouse will have over the Star Wars properties. Remember, Disney is a family-friendly company that isn't afraid to get its hands dirty to feed its almighty bottom line.

If you think otherwise, just ask those working over at LucasArts or on The Clone Wars animated series. Oh wait, that's right, you can't because Disney shuttered those two arms of the Lucas empire.

So, let this video serve as a warning of what might lie ahead. Although probably not, since you know Disney is smart enough to let those talented people do their jobs, right? Either way this is a fun and entertaining video that is actually well made considering the level of special effects required.

Patton Oswalt waxes on Star Wars: Episode VII

If you haven't seen this video yet from Patton Oswalt and Parks and Recreation, then what are you waiting for? Press play and prepare to laugh your ass off.

To set the scene, Patton Oswalt is using his take on Star Wars: Episode VII as filibuster material in front of the city council. This is one long take and was apparently completely ad-libbed byPatton.

While Patton gets a little off the rails at the end and brings in all of Disney's other film properties including Marvel comic characters, there are some pretty amazing ideas in there that we'd never see on screen, but I wish we would.
