Our nation needs a change for the better. We've suffered through too many drab comedies this year. We need a candidate that can break through the mess that Washington Hollywood has sent us the first half of 2012.

I'm happy to report we have that candidate. We have a film that can rise above the rest and restore comedy to its rightful place in this country. No more will our entertainment dollars go to wasteful spenders like The Hunger Games or The Avengers. We deserve something funny.

Well, my fellow Americans, I'm happy to report that the opportunity is before us. We have that candidate. That candidate is actually two candidates: Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis in the upcoming movie The Campaign.

Watch this trailer, America, and see your future unfold:

OK, let's cut through the campaign speech crap.

Unlike a candidate for office, I'm completely honest when I say this movie looks good. Any comedy starring Ferrell and Galifianakis has potential. Combine those stars with a subject that deserves parody like politics and you have a winning formula.

But just like with the promises of a politician, I have my suspicions. I'm afraid Will Ferrell will devolve into his old George W. Bush shtick. It used to be hilarious but now it seems tired. And Zach Galifianakis' goody-goody character seems to be a carbon copy of Ned Flanders from The Simpsons, complete with mustache and two sons.

What do you think? Will you cast your ballot for The Campaign when it hits theaters on Aug. 10? Let us know.
