'Prometheus' poster hints at its secrets

We have already mentioned that 2012 is set to be one of the most interesting years at the box office. There's not only a plethora of sequels to well-known properties on tap, but new projects from established filmmakers as well.

One of the more high profile releases is Prometheus from director Ridley Scott. At first, it was described as a prequel to his hit film Alien, but then Scott and company backed away from those comments. However, they did reveal that there are threads from Prometheus that will extend through the Alien movies.

Beyond that though, the filmmakers have been rather tight-lipped when it has come to plot details. So then, why is Prometheus so high on my must-see list? Well, aside from the great cast and director, Damon Lindelof is one of the primary writers on the project. And all he did was turn Lost into a world-wide phenomenon.

I hate to speculate at this point, especially with such incomplete information, but I think we are in for a great science fiction adventure that has been the hallmark of Scott's career. Check out the poster below and let us know what you think.
