If there's one guilty pleasure movie that I'm looking forward to the most this holiday season, it would be Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. I was a big fan of the original movie and this installment's plot revolving around the cat and mouse game between Holmes and Professor Moriarty only adds to my anticipation of an enjoyable movie.

While some have blasted Robert Downey, Jr. for his portrayal of Holmes, I find that he brings a refreshing nuance to the role that very few actors would even think to try. That and Guy Ritchie's distinctive visual style combine to create a truly interesting take on the great detective.

The trailers have gotten better as the release date approaches and I think it's safe to say that with Jared Harris cast as Holmes' main adversary, the franchise is just beginning to pick up steam. The new poster hints at Moriarty with his shadow looming over Holmes and Watson.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows hits theaters on December 16. Check out the poster below and let us know what you think.
