Just the other week Tim pointed out to me that he saw the first Twitter hashtag that he had seen on a film's official one-sheet. Today, Martha Marcy May Marlene is breaking new ground on the social media front of their own.

Fox Searchlight released two new one-sheets that basically consisted of giant QR codes over the two lead actors faces. QR codes are sort of an evolved bar code that you can scan with your smart phone and get additional information.

While the practical uses of QR codes are still trying to gain traction, these two posters might just be the first step toward mainstream acceptance. Not only do the images make for striking posters, but they are functional of course.

Each image links to a different clip from the movie that made a big splash at this year's Sundance Film Festival. In fact, it was on the strength of this performance that Elizabeth Olsen started to make a name for herself that will hopefully finally allow her to step out of the shadows of her famous sisters.

Check out the posters below and be sure to scan the QR codes for the two clips.

If that wasn't fun, how about the trailer? I've embedded it below and all I can say is this film is creepy and intriguing and I can't wait to see it on October 21. What do you think?
