Those Star Wars folks are such a tease. At Comic-Con in San Diego last night, the audience at the Star Wars Fan Movie Awards got a sneak peek of deleted scenes to be included in the upcoming Star Wars Blu-ray set.

The clips are very brief and accompanied by a classic Star Wars musical score. But, hey, it's the pieces us hardcore Star Wars fans have been waiting for. And this is legit video. No shaky camera recording from the audience.

Here is a shot-by-shot rundown of what's included:

  1. 0:00 - Star Wars Blu-ray Disc title animation
  2. 0:15 - Lucasfilm title
  3. 0:17 - Luke Skywalker assembling his new light saber in ROTJ
  4. 0:22 - Luke, with Treadwell the droid, witnessing the space battle overhead in ANH
  5. 0:25 - A Mon Calamari pilot in ROTJ
  6. 0:26 - The heroes departing Tatooine in a sandstorm post Jabba battle in ROTJ
  7. 0:31 - A Wampa breaks into Echo Base as R2-D2 flees in ESB
  8. 0:35 - Han Solo and company battle Imperial troops inside the bunker in ROTJ
  9. 0:41 - Luke repairs his robot hand as he leaves Tatooine for Dagobah in ROTJ
  10. 0:49 - Ending titles

The tease definitely has me salivating for more. Good thing I've already pre-ordered The Complete Saga on Blu-ray. Now I can't wait for its release on Sept. 16.
