With this weekend's release of the last Harry Potter you better believe that Warner Bros. is going to jump at the chance to promote their big future releases to what could be record setting audiences. The first teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises is already popping up online in shaky cam form, but the WB is quick to squash it like a bug.

The other big trailer attached to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2009 holiday hit. While Warner Bros. has its hand full with The Dark Knight Rises leaks, it seems that they aren't too concerned with this one hitting the web a bit early.

From the action in the trailer, it seems that Holmes and Watson are back in the thick of things and much of the first film's stylistic choices are carried through to the sequel. While the witty banter looks to be unchanged, it appears as though they are trading in some of the comedic elements to focus more on the prominent Moriarty story line.

I don't know about you, but for me, I welcome the change. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is currently set for a December 16 release, on the same day as Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, but I imagine that one of these movies will be moved a bit before then.

What did you think of the trailer? As for that The Dark Knight Rises trailer? We managed to sneak a peek of it before it was taken down and man, it's pretty awesome. We'll have it for you here once a stable version becomes available.
