Cate Blanchett To Play Heroic Reporter

Disney has finally given the greenlight to Jerry Bruckheimer for his historic drama, Chasing The Dragon: The Veronica Guerin Story. Veronica Guerin was a reporter with the Dublin Sunday Independent who became the target of the very drug dealers that she wrote about.

The first announcement from Bruckheimer is that experienced actress Cate Blanchett is in final negotiations to play the doomed reporter. Filming is scheduled for Ireland next Spring with a target release date of late next year.
