Alternate opening to 'Iron Man 2' plus a third version that's even better

I'm one of the few people on the planet who didn't see Iron Man 2 in the theater. Something about getting a babysitter and dragging my non-action-movie-loving wife to see it. Not to mention the approximately $50 the night would've cost me. (Babysitters seem to charge an arm and a leg these days, don't they?)

So let's just say I'm eagerly awaiting Iron Man 2's release on Blu-ray this Tuesday. Renting that bad boy will make for some awesome home theater viewing.

Recently the alternate opening for Iron Man 2 made its way onto YouTube. From the trailer and AC/DC music video, I knew the gist of the movie's actual opening. Well, in fact, you can watch the original here:

Now here's the alternate. It has a hungover Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) talking with his secretary and love interest Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) before making the leap. Take a gander:

Once again, I haven't seen the movie but I already like this alternate version better. Not only does it allow me more time with lovely Ms. Paltrow but it shows the fallible side of Stark's character. (Do they even explore the alcoholism storyline from the comics in this movie? Ooops, hope I'm not spoiling anything there.)

Regardless, the awesome people at College Humor have produced a third opening (actually, a whole collection of openings) that I think work even better yet. Watch:

I think Mask-O deserves his own spin-off film from Marvel.

Don't forget... Iron Man 2 comes out this Tuesday on DVD and Blu-ray. I know I'll be watching it.
