If you've been reading the site this year, you know that there are two things that I love, The Social Network and interactive trailers. So, imagine my absolute glee when I woke up this morning and found that Sony has released an interactive trailer for The Social Network.

The Social Network, in case you've been living in that proverbial cave again, is the Facebook movie written by Aaron Sorkin, directed by David Fincher and quite possibly even more anticipated by me than Inception. And again, if you know me, that's saying a whole lot right there.

While sure, the idea of an interactive trailer can be gimmicky, and yes the one for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was all about the gimmick, it is used here almost perfectly. Think about it, you've got a movie in which almost every potential viewer either uses Facebook or at least knows what it is, but yet, very few people know about the compelling story behind the successful social network website.

The interactive trailer unleashes such nuggets of wisdom as little sound and video bites from the creative people behind the movie and stars, tidbits about the website and even direct links to articles written about the actual subject matter of the film in 2003.

For instance, did you know that the average age of a Facebook employee is 31 years old? I bet you didn't realize that Facebook employs over 900 employees as part of their website empire. And I really bet you didn't know that the cousin of Jesse Eisenberg, who plays Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg in the film, is one of those employees.

For comparison's sake, we employ two people on this site.

All of those facts and countless others can be found down below, simply by clicking around on the interactive trailer. Well, all but our employee count. We just threw that out there more out of jealousy than anything else.

Are you looking forward to this movie? The Social Network opens in theaters on October 1.
