In my early teen years, I had two loves: hard rock music and comic books. This clip from Iron Man 2 seems to have been made especially for my 13-year-old self.

It's a segment we've seen in bits during the early commercials for the huge movie event coming next month. Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) flies through the night sky unleashing some wild pyrotechnics. He then lands on a stage of dancing ladies, presumably to give the keynote address at his own Stark Expo event. All the while, AC/DC's classic track "Shoot to Thrill" plays in the background.

It sure does make Steve Jobs' jeans-and-black-turtleneck entrances at all those Apple announcement events look pretty boring.

Enough talk. See the trailer for yourself:

Sure this scene will play great in theaters. I can't wait to own this movie on Blu-ray and play it -- full volume -- in my own home theater. Even though I don't have an elaborate, THX-certified set-up, I'm certain this will be amazing to experience over and over and over.

Thank you, director John Favreau, for what is destined to be an awesome movie. I thank you and the younger me thanks you.

Iron Man 2 lands in theaters on May 7.
