Being that last weekend was Easter, it seems that the timing is perfect for discussion on one of Quentin Tarantino's most interesting projects. The project, simply titled for a long time "The Vega Brothers," was supposed to be a prequel based on the two hip criminal brothers that appeared in Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs.

Michael Madsen played Vic Vega in Reservoir Dogs, while John Travolta played Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction.

SPOILER ALERT

The idea of a prequel was necessitated by the fact that both brothers were gunned down in their movies and the only way to show them on-screen together would be to have the story set before their fateful demise. Of course, after almost two decades, the principal actors have aged to a point where a prequel would be next to impossible, so there really hasn't been much in the way of talk on the project in years.

But recently, Madsen went on a Boston morning show and said that the project wasn't quite dead yet. Apparently, Tarantino's latest idea is a bit of retroactive continuity in which the two Vega brothers were actually two sets of twins that both didn't know their twins existed.

So, the gist is that both Vic and Vincent's brothers, played by Madsen and Travolta, were recently released from prison and head to Los Angeles to get revenge on their brothers' deaths. Naturally, their paths cross and bloody carnage is sure to follow.

Sure, it sounds a bit far out, but this is Quentin Tarantino that we're talking about and I would certainly buy a ticket to see it. What about you?
