How to skip DVD trailers and get directly to the movie

It should be pretty apparent from all the ones we post around here that we love movie trailers. But sometimes being forced to watch them can be annoying.

No where is this more painful than sitting down to watch that new movie on DVD. Thankfully the tech experts at CNET have a simple and easy way to get to the feature presentation.

OK, here's the trick. On your DVD remote, hit STOP STOP PLAY. These three buttons will take you directly to the movie you've been dying to see.

As Tom Merritt says in the video, this tip should work for most DVD players.

OK, now that you know the trick, I recommend watching the trailers AFTER you've watched the movie. Trailers and previews are great way to discover new movies worth watching. And trailers on DVD (or Blu-ray!) are much, much better than seeing them online.
