Red Band trailer shows off 'MacGruber's funny side

What does a stalk of celery, an upper-decker and date rape have in common? Well, if you said MacGruber and its hilarious red band trailer then give yourself a pat on the back.
I'll be honest, I was perhaps the most skeptical person about this project when it was announced and it wasn't until I saw this trailer that I finally came on board. While it maintains the loose structure of the MacGyver show upon which the skit is based, the trailer shows that this is a movie that will deliver on many fronts.
The comedy will be there for sure, but there will also be a fair amount of action and split-second escapes from explosions, or will there? Is it me or is the end of this movie the worst kept foreshadowing ever? If the movie doesn't end with MacGruber "blowing up" like the SNL skits, then I might leave the theater a bit disappointed.
Yep, that's right. I said theater. Based on this trailer, I'll be there to laugh and swear off celery for life on April 16.
