Columbia Pulls The Plug On Fake Critic

Will the real David Manning please stand up? No, this isn't a new song from Eminem, but a case of a movie studio looking for good quotes in all the wrong places.

This past weekend, Newsweek did come scooping of their own and learned that David Manning, who allegedly wrote for the legitimate Ridgefield Press in southern Connecticut, was just a ficticious character created by an overactive imagination in the advertising department of Columbia Pictures.

So where does Hollywood go from here? Who knows, but David Manning gets two thumbs down from us...
