Good movie you've never heard: 'Traitor' coming to DVD on Dec. 19 (Enter to win)

Sometimes a great movie flies under everyone's radar. It's released at the box office with little fanfare. It's got a good script and a great cast but just can't find an audience.

Thankfully we have DVD and Blu-ray. That's where movies like Traitor shine.

Traitor features some acting heavyweights. No debate, Don Cheadle (Ocean's movies, Hotel Rwanda) is one of today's best actors. And Guy Pearce. He's just never received his due (except for perhaps L.A. Confidential). Also on board are Jeff Daniels (does he need an introduction?), Neal McDonough (great character actor seen most recently on Desperate Housewives) and Said Taghmaoui (next year's G.I. Joe movie).

Then there's the story. Cheadle is Samir Horn, a former U.S. Special forces agent seemingly caught in a terrorist ring. Where do his loyalties lie? It's up to FBI agent Roy Clayton (Pearce) to find out before the terrorists strike. Instead of me explaining it, take a look at the trailer below.

It's being released on Friday, Dec. 19. Yes, that's right... Friday. Most DVDs come out on Tuesday but because of the Christmas holiday, they're releasing it on Friday. To get you further excited about the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray, Overture Films is running a contest. Go to their official web site where you can enter to win the movie on Blu-ray, a pocket translator, a passport cover and hat. You can enter online or by texting "TRAITOR" to the number 878787. (Normal texting rates apply, blah blah blah.)

Sign up to be reminded when Traitor hits store shelves on Dec. 19. Did we mention that it was coming out on a Friday?
