Sony Pictures has announced a February 3, 2009 release for Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. The rom-com DVD and Blu-ray hit shelves just in time to take advantage of all the manufactured love and romance that is better known as Valentine's day.

But lovers, bitter or otherwise, will find plenty to love about this DVD offering starring Michael Cera and Kat Dennings. Sony lists all of the following robust features for its DVD offering:

  • Director and Cast Commentary
  • Director and Writers Commentary
  • Deleted & Alternate Scenes
  • Outtakes
  • A Nick & Norah Puppet Show by Kat Dennings
  • Ari Graynor's Video Diary: A Look Behind-the-Scenes
  • Storyboard Animations Piece with optional commentary
  • Faux Interview with Kat Dennings and Eddie Kaye Thomas
  • Peter Sollett's Photo Album
  • Music Video: "Middle Management" by Bishop Allen

I don't know about you, but I'm quite intrigued by the "Nick & Norah Puppet Show." The single disc DVD will retail for $28.96.

The Blu-ray version includes all of the extra goodies of the DVD version plus these additional pieces:

  • Trivia Track
  • Cinechat
  • Telestrator Commentary with Director and Cast

Again, I just think that there will be something inherently funny about handing Michael Cera a Telestrator for the commentary. I might be wrong, but I do believe this is the first time we've seen Telestrator technology make the leap from Madden to Blu-ray. The Blu-ray disc comes with a $39.95 pricetag.

You can set a reminder here and we will email you on February 3 to let you know that Nick & Norah is now available to rent and/or buy.
