We beam you up to the 'Star Trek' trailer

What is quickly becoming a day of chasing down new trailers (hey, 'tis the season after all), here is the one that many people have been drooling over since it premiered with Quantum of Solace this weekend. Finally today, Paramount has released the HD trailer for next year's Star Trek onto the Internet masses.

You can view the trailer here (Trailer 2) and we will post an embedded copy once we find one out there that wasn't recorded on a shaky phone in a movie theater.

What did you think of this trailer? I will say that I am an unabashed J.J. Abrams fan and I couldn't really care less about the Star Trek franchise, but his involvement piqued my curiosity. After seeing the trailer, I can honestly say that this movie is now on my radar.

And really, isn't that what Paramount was hoping for anyhow? To boldly go where no non-trekkers (or is it trekkies) has gone before.
