Full U.S. 'Harry Potter' trailer debuts

Just in time for Friday's original release date for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes the full-length trailer that will be attached to this weekend's box office juggernaut Twilight. This trailer certainly features the sparse comic moments even more so than last month's International trailer.

Half-Blood Prince is a complicated movie in which the "dark times" that Dumbledore prognosticated about in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix are in full-swing and provide the backdrop to the ongoing full out war in the wizarding community.

What I like most about both of these full-length trailers is that they do a good job of promoting the movie without giving up or even hinting at the darkest and most tumultuous events in the book.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is now set for a July 17, 2009 release.
