Seth Rogen's trailer to be made into movie

It might be time to revisit the old adage of what came first the movie or the movie trailer. It seems logical that you'd need to have a movie, or at least some footage from said movie to construct a trailer, but that's no longer the case.

Current Hollywood "It" man Seth Rogen is busting up all sorts of Hollywood stereotypes and his latest untapped frontier involves a fake trailer that he and Knocked Up co-star Jay Baruchel made on a lark. The trailer for a non-existent (at the time) movie called Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse tells the story of two friends forced to live together while the apocalypse takes place outside of their cramped living quarters.

Mandate Pictures picked up the movie rights and seems intent on making the full-length film to which the trailer refers.

Now, if only we could get Seth Rogen to work on that whole chicken and the egg problem, perhaps world peace would follow.

For your ease, we've embedded the original trailer that popped up on YouTube last year. Please be advised that the trailer does contain some language that some people may find offensive, particularly bosses that step into your office at the most inopportune moment.
