New Line Home Entertainment (RIP) has just announced the DVD release of Harold & Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay for July 29. Their announcement sheet teases us with a new interactive feature for the DVD.

As you can see below, this is the description:

DUDE, CHANGE THE MOVIE! Interactive feature puts you in control of Harold and Kumar's trip! Select from new and alternate scenes to change the course of the film! Many possible options!

Yes!! It's a Choose Your Own Adventure version of Harold & Kumar.

Details are not yet available, like how you'll make selections. I sincerely hope there is a lifeline "What would NPH do?" option. We don't yet know if this feature is destined only for the Blu-ray version or the regular DVD. We'll update this post once we get more info.

Here are the other bonus elements of the two-disc unrated special edition:

  • Commentary with the director and the stars
  • Commentary with the director, the real "Harold Lee" and the guy who plays George W. Bush
  • "The World of Harold and Kumar" featurette
  • 27 Additional scenes
  • Bush PSA
  • Digital copy of the movie

There will also be a single disc version with includes both the theatrical cut and the unrated version of the film.
